Chania, the second largest city of Crete, is the site of the Minoan settlement of Kydonia. Chania's Old Town is considered the most beautiful urban district on Crete, especially the area around the Venetian harbour.
Rethymno is Crete's third largest city (after Heraklion and Hania). Its old town is one of the best preserved in Crete.
